FITTING
Bumper Removal
1. To remove rear lights, open boot and lower rear tail gate. Remove black covers, unscrew 1 bolt both sides and 2 plastic
plugs. Unscrew bulb holders and pull lights rearward, these can be stiff.
2. Remove plugs on inside of bumper where tail gate sits. On each arch remove 3 black plugs, 1 tip screw and 1 bottom
screw.
3. Underside of bumper remove 2 plastic plugs, release fog light plug and reverse sensor plug at rear nearside of bumper.
Pull tips out on bumper and remove rearward.
4. Remove crash beam, 3 bolts either side and gaskets keeping for refitting. Offer up Main cross bar (A) to chassis rail to
identify mounting points. Remove any wax oil around the mounting points.
Towbar Fitment
5. Insert chassis stiffener (F) into chassis rail aligning captives to holes. Loosely attach bolts (D) through chassis into part (F).
6. Attach Bracket (E) to chassis rail. Clean off any wax oil and attach using Bolt (L) 1.25mm Pitch thread to original captive
nut in chassis rail to support cross bar (A).
7. Fit Cross bar (A) on left side use bolts (J) to thread through chassis into stiffener (F). Rotate upwards on right side and
loosely bolt up to side arm (E) using bolts (K).
8. Once supported insert right hand insert (H) to the most forward mounting and tighten using the remaining bolt (J). Fit
bracket (G) into chassis rail and fit to the forward inboard holes using Bolts (D).
9. For the remaining hole use the last bolt (D) and push through fitting washer and nyloc nut (M).
10. For tightening sequence, tighten crossbar to Right chassis rail, then the left side chassis rail. Once satisfied apply full
torque and tighten bracket (E).
11. Refit Crash beam including gaskets, and refit bumper. Ensure the fog light connector and reverse sensor plugs are refitted
correctly. For bumper tags use bolts (N) to refit bumper, orientate to suit.
12. Attach preferred neck and Electrical Plate Bracket (ZEP 3) following the additional fitting instruction provided. Fully tighten
all remaining fixings to the recommended torque setting. Fit Bolt Caps (C)
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm Grade 10.9: M12 –
