I N S T R U C T I O N S
Before use
Before you use the appliance for the first time, please do as follows: carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material.
Keep the material (plastic bags and cardboard) out of reach of children. Check the appliance after unpacking for any damage, possible from
transportation. Put the appliance on a flat and stable surface. Check if the battery ­ 3 Volt, CR2032 ­ is placed in the compartment on the bottom.
Check the position of the switch on the bottom of the scale: kg or oz/lb.

= measuring in grams
• oz/lb
= measuring in ounces and pounds
Wipe the outside of the kitchenscale only with a damp cloth.
Operation
Put the appliance on a flat and stable surface. Switch the scale on by pressing the «On/Off/Tara» button and wait till «0 g» appears on the display.
The kitchenscale is now ready for weighing. Place the item to be weighted directly on the scale. The weight thereof is displayed immediately. The
scale can accept a maximum load of 5 kg (5000 grams). The weight measurement is displayed in 1 g divisions. And the scale has a «Tara» adding
function. Remove the "overweight" when «E­­­­» appears in the display. NOTE: The total weight placed on the scale can not be more than 5 kg
(5000 grams).
Addingfunction
With the adding function you can reset the display to "0" after placing a product. This allows you to weigh in a bowl.
Do as follows:
1.
Place a empty bowl on the scale.
2.
Press the scale on with the «On/Off/Tara» button and wait till «0 g» appears on the display.
3.
Place the first product you wish to weigh in the bowl.
4.
Read the weight shown on the display.
5.
After weighing. press the «On/Off/Tara» button to reset the scal to "0" and you can add the next ingredient.
By repeating step 3, 4 and 5 you can weigh multiple ingredients (e.g. baking ingredients). NOTE: The total weight placed on the scale can not be
more than 5 kg (5000 grams). Remove the "overweight" when «E­­­­» appears in the display.
Batteries
If the kitchenscale is left unused for longer than approx. 240 seconds, it automatically switches itself off. You can also turn the scale off manually by
pressing the button «On/Off/Tara». When «Lo» appears in the display, the battery needs to be replaced.
NOTE: Spent batteries and rechargeable batteries do not constitute normal household waste! They are considered to be toxic waste and, as such,
should be disposed of in special containers, toxic waste collection points or brought to electrical goods dealers.
Remark: Batteries containing pollutant substances are marked as follows: Pb = Battery contains lead, Cd = Battery contains cadmium, Hg =
Battery contains mercury.
C L E A N I N G
Wipe the kitchenscale only with a damp cloth. Never immerse the scale in water or any other liquids. Handle the scale with care, protect the scale
from impact with hard objects and do not drop it.
