6 | How to use

6.1 | General information

First, it is essential to check that it is safe to use the Rothewald Paddock Stand with your motorcycle.
The maximum lifting capacity of the Rothewald Paddock Stand is 200 kg—this means that the overall
weight of the motorcycle, incl. accessories, must not exceed 400 kg.
The design of the rear swing arm must be suitable for the Rothewald Paddock Stand. Depending on
which model of paddock stand you choose, your motorcycle must have either bobbins or a parallel
twin-sided swing arm. If you intend to remove the rear wheel, the axle must be loosened before
jacking up the motorcycle. This also applies to the front end. Loosen the axle and other very tight
screw fittings on your motorcycle before jacking up.
IMPORTANT!
Risk of damage!
Never jack up your motorcycle by yourself—always get help from a second
strong person, who should hold the motorcycle securely to to keep it upright.
• Do not jack up the motorcycle when it is standing at an angle on the side stand,
because the initial one-sided load will damage the Rothewald Paddock Stand
and may cause the motorcycle to slip off.
