6.4 | Using the paddock stand with front adapters
First check that the fork tubes are open at the ends, and measure the size of the opening. There
are four different sizes of adapter in total: 12 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 22 mm. Select a suitable size
and screw the adapter onto the thread of the felt protector. To do this, you may need to remove the
adapter from the paddock stand beforehand.
Screw the adapter firmly to a free thread on the support so that it does not get lost.
WARNING!
Risk of toppling!
Before you jack up the front end of your motorcycle, you must always first place the rear end securely
on a suitable second rear paddock stand. If you only raise the front end, your motorcycle may topple
over and cause damage and/or injury.
The Rothewald Paddock Stand supports for open fork tubes must be adjusted to the width of the
front fork. To do this, a second person should hold the handlebar straight. Position the supports with
the correct adapters under your motorcycle's fork tubes from the front. Adjust the supports so that
they fit fully under the two fork tubes, and fit the adapters into the opening/hole in the fork tubes.
