MATERIALS
A 1 Towbar Main Frame with European facing to 94/20/EC – A50-1
C1 1 Drop Plate
C2 1 Strap
D 4 M10 x 30mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
E 1 M10 x 30 Bolt, Nut, Lock Washer and Flat Washer (20mm O.D.)
F 1 M10 x 40mm Bolt, Nut, Lock Washer, Large Flat Washer (40mm O.D.) and Flat Washer (20mm O.D.)
G 4 M10 x30mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Locate and remove the three bolts holding the rear exhaust hanger.
2. Offer up the Towbar Main Frame (A) so that the vertical plates with the weld nuts for Bolts (D) pass between the
white plastic mouldings and the vertical rear panel. NOTE: It may be necessary to move the boxes slightly
rearward to create the necessary gap. Secure using Bolts (D), if necessary, enlarging the hole on the right hand
side.
3. Remove fasteners retaining the heat shield and place Strap (C2) on inside of C section (see diagram). Secure
Strap (C2) to vehicle using Bolt (E) and to Towbar Main Frame (A) and chassis C section using Bolts (F).
4. On the right side, secure Drop Plate (C1) to Towbar Main Frame (A) and outside of chassis C section with Bolts
(G).
5. Attach heat shield and rear exhaust hanger. Finally, Tighten all Bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
