MATERIALS
A 1 Crossbar with European facing to 94/20/EC – A50-1
D 2 Side arms
E 4 M8 x 30mm Bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers and special 'Cage Nuts'.
F 4 M12 x 35mm Bolts, 2 Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers
G 2 M10 x 90 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (50mm O.D.)
G1 2 Bushes (17mm O.D. – 56mm long)
H 2 Bushes (17mm O.D -63mm long) Required for vehicles with deeper chassis section.
CB 2 M16x50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
No need to remove bumper
1. Insert the special Cage Nuts (E) into the holes provided in rear panel and loosely attach Cross Bar (A) using
Bolts (E) with Flat washers.
2. Remove the plastic bungs from forward mountings (G) and insert Bushes (G1) from the outside of the chassis
rail. Use Longer Bushes (H) if required. Loosely attach Side arms (D) to Crossbar (A) using Bolts (F) and forward
mounts (G) using Bolts (G) with Flat washers.
3.
Tighten all Bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
