How to Use
This appliance is for household use only.
BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
• Remove all packing materials, any stickers and the plastic band around
the power plug.
• To register your product, go to www.prodprotect.com/russellhobbs.
• Turn to "CARE AND MAINTENANCE" and clean the appliance, to remove
manufacturing dust, etc.
Note: Each time you plug in your Russell Hobbs blender you may hear a
faint buzzing sound caused by the speed gauge resetting itself. This sound is
completely normal and indicates that your gauge is working properly.
USING
In use, treat the jug and blade as a single unit.

Place the motor unit on a stable, level surface.
Check that the speed control is set to O.

Lower the jug onto the motor unit and twist it clockwise to lock it.

Remove the lid.
5.
Put the ingredients into the jug. Don't fill past the 1500 ml mark. If you
do, the contents may force the lid off when you start the motor.
6.
Replace the lid. Never operate the appliance without fitting the lid.
7.
Fit the fill cap to the hole in the lid, and turn it clockwise to lock it.
8.
Don't run the appliance without fitting the fill cap.
9.
Put the plug into the power outlet.
10. Move the speed control to the 1, 2 or 3 position to operate your blender.
11. Hold the speed control in the
short, controlled bursts.
12. Release the speed control to stop.
13. To add ingredients while the blender is working, remove the fill cap, pour
the new ingredients through the hole, then replace the fill cap.
When you have finished:
Switch the appliance off by moving the speed control to the O position

and unplug it.
GAUGE
The gauge shows the speed of the blade in rpm (revolutions per minute).

The top row of figures shows the speed with the jug empty.
•
The bottom row of figures shows the speed with the jug half full
(to the 1500ml mark).
