Installing and Looking After the Product
Connection to the electrical mains
Before connecting the device to the mains, make sure that the mains voltage is the same as that marked on the
rear panel (max. tolerance ±10%) and that the POWER supply switch is in the off position.
When connecting to the mains it is always important to take the necessary precautions to avoid the risk of electric
shock; for example, do not make the connection with wet or damp hands.
Connections and the prevention of interference
Connections must only be made with the device switched off.
When switching your audio devices on and off, it is best to switch on this device last and switch it off first.
Use quality cables and check their condition regularly. When disconnecting cables from sockets, always take hold of
the connector and not the cable itself; when winding cables, do not knot or twist them.
Do not install too close to radio devices, cell-phones, etc., which normally generate interference.
The device generates magnetic fields: do not place it too close to TVs or video monitors, computers, audio and video
tapes and magnetic media, etc.
Check that the installation site is not subject to industrial interference, strong RFI or power blackouts.
When installing permanent systems:
For microphones use balanced cables, especially for long-distance connections.
Do not lay audio cables close and/or parallel to electrical lines, telephone lines, IT networks and 70V or 100V
speaker lines, or other low-voltage conductors.
Flame retardant materials should be used, especially in large installations, even when not strictly necessary
under safety regulations.
Looking After the Product
Do not apply excessive force to the controls (knobs, switches, etc.).
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, intense heat sources, strong vibrations and especially damp or dusty
environments or rain, since they may cause malfunctions, deterioration and even electric shocks.
Never insert foreign bodies inside the device or pour liquids of any kind into it.
If the device is to be unused for some time, protect it from dust. Any dust which does collect on the device can be
removed "dry" using a soft cloth or a brush. Never use methylated spirits, acetone or solvents of any kind.
In case of malfunction
In case of malfunction, contact only an authorised service centre.
Brackets for Permanent Installations
Special metal brackets are available for permanent installations. Designed for compatibility with the cabinet's metal
fittings, the brackets allow the speaker to be fixed to walls, ceilings or technical structures quickly, conveniently and
securely.
Case
You can protect your speaker during transport with the special
padded case, also useful for protection against dust and damp.
The case has closable openings and vents which allow you to
cover and protect your speaker even without disinstalling it (e.g.
when it is fixed to a stand); this is very useful when there is a risk
of bad weather, for example.
