7. CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Removing the covers
Step 1 – Remove the seat back cover
[MAXI_038] Unfasten the two straps at the top and
bottom of the seat back cover, and loosen the cover
around the size indicator.
Step 2 – Remove the side wing covers
[MAXI_039] To remove the covers on the wings,
unfasten the two buttons (one on each wing) on the
inside and the four buttons (two on each wing) on the
outside. The two wing covers can then be pulled off at
the front.
Step 3 – Remove the crash pads from the side wing
covers
WARNING!
[MAXI_040] Each wing cover contains crash pads
that are not washable. To do this, simply pull them out
of the inside pockets of the covers.
Step 4 – Remove the headrest cover
[MAXI_041] Unfasten the two buttons on the back of
the headrest, and the two hooks in the upper area of
the inner side. Loosen the cover by twisting it towards
you and lifting it up from the bottom. Then unfasten
the last two hooks on the edge of the headrest's bottom
and pull the cover down and off.
Step 5 – Remove the crash pad (AIRPADS) from the
headrest cover
WARNING!
[MAXI_042] The headrest cover contains crash pads
(AIRPADS) that are not washable. To do this, simply
pull the crash pads (AIRPADS) out of the two inside
pockets.
Step 6 – Remove the seat base cover
[MAXI_043] Unfasten the two hooks or straps on the
seat base cover (one element on each side), positioned
on the outer sides of the armrests, and pull the cover
towards you, off both armrests.
[MAXI_044] Then unfasten the four hooks or straps
on the underside of the base, and the two in the
instruction manual storage compartment. Thread the
central pull strap out through the seat base cover, and
pull the front edge of the cover up, away from the base.
[MAXI_045] Next, unfasten the two fabric straps at
the rear of the seat base, and pull the cover off.

Cleaning and care
The covers of your MAXI child car seat (base, back,
wings and headrest) are removable and washable.
NOTE!
Always check the care instructions on the label of the
base cover, to see whether it is machine washable.
These instructions should take precedence over any
others.
WARNING!
The crash pads contained in the side wings and
headrest are not washable and must be removed from
their inner pockets before cleaning.
WARNING!
[MAXI_046] After washing, ensure the crash pads are
correctly inserted in the inner pockets of the shoulder
wing and headrest covers. Failure to observe this
