5. TIME control knob
6. Fuse holder
7. LUX control knob
Installation
It is essential that you follow all instructions provided under "Function of the
motion detector" and "Preparing installation".
• Remove the entire front cover. The front cover consists of the outer frame (3) and
the cover with plastic lens (2).
If necessary, use a suitable tool to lever out the front cover. Proceed with caution in
order not to damage the front cover.
• Loosen the locking screws beneath the slide switch (1).
• Connect the mains cable to both screw terminals located at the bottom. When doing
so, observe the circuit diagram engraved on the backside of the product.
Make sure that the cables are not bare for too long as this may cause short-
circuiting.
Make sure the screw terminals are tightened.
• Install the product in a suitable flush-mounted box with the engraved arrow pointing
vertically upwards.
Make sure that the cables are not squeezed, bent or damaged in any other
way.
• Attach the front cover.
• Turn on power to the circuit and check to see if the product works. In order to do so,
set the slide switch to ON position.
If the load connected does not work, disconnect the mains immediately
(unscrew the fuse or turn off the circuit breaker).
Then check the connection to the power circuit.
Settings
• Setting the switch-on time
Use the TIME control knob (5) to set the switch-on time. Turning the control knob
anti-clockwise (to the left) will reduce the switch-on time, and turning the control
knob clockwise (to the right) will increase it.
• Setting the brightness control
Use the LUX control knob (7) to set the threshold at which the ambient light will
activate the motion detector.
Turning the control knob anti-clockwise (to the left) will cause the motion detector to
switch on during darker ambient conditions, and turning the control knob clockwise
(to the right) will cause it to switch on during brighter ambient conditions.
In order to check whether the motion detector monitors the desired
detection area, turn the TIME control all the way to the left for selecting the
shortest operating time and turn the LUX control all the way to the right for
selecting bright environments. Then walk through the detection area.
• Use a flat and slim tool for turning the control knobs, such as a flat head screwdriver.
• The slide switch (1) features 3 positions:
- ON (left): always on
- OFF (center): always off
- PIR (right): activation via motion detector (PIR sensor)

Replacing the fuse
• The fuse holder (6) is located behind the front cover on the right next to the control
knobs.
• Turn off the power to the circuit and remove the front cover.
• Use a flat-tip screwdriver to lever out the fuse holder.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type (see technical
data).
• Reinstall the fuse holder and check if the product functions properly.

Maintenance and cleaning
• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions, as such would
damage the housing (discolorations).
• Besides occasional cleaning, the device is maintenance-free.
• Use a clean, soft and dry cloth to clean the housing. Do not apply too much force to
the housing in order to avoid scratching.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of
the environment.
