Preface

You must read this instruction manual as requirement for using the ISO DIST by ARTA mea-
suring equipment for facade claddings. Before starting to use the measuring equipment, this
instruction manual must be read carefully and in full.
If there is anything you do not understand, contact us immediately. Do not operate the mea-
suring equipment if you are in any doubt. By starting to use the measuring equipment, you
confirm that you have read and understood the manual and assume the responsibility for its
operation.
The methods and procedures used for manufacturing and quality monitoring purposes correspond to state
of the art technology.

Applications

Initial measuring of a wall with respect to trueness and planarity in order to ascertain the requirement for
levelling the substrate prior to applying the facade cladding and/or ETICS.
Initial measurement of a wall in case of the need to compensate for various levels due to juts and recesses,
if these are to be levelled. Flush measurement allows you to ascertain the required thickness and quantities
of the facade cladding and/or ETICS prior to commencing the work.
Flush and/or plumb anchoring of the cladding installation independently of the installation type (glued,
doweled). Ideal for legacy adhesives, expanding foam adhesives, adjustment of rail constructions, adjusta-
ble dowel systems or supporting constructions (curtain walls).
Initial measurement to ascertain required elements such as e.g. window ledges which need to have an
identical overhang after installing the facade cladding and/or ETICS despite different installation depths.
Exact flush mounting of rails and sections, such as e.g. base beads, fabric corner angles, corner rails on
uneven substrates.

Guarantee, warranty, liability

We guarantee the flawless operation of the measuring equipment under the condition that it is duly opera-
ted and maintained. The warranty expires 1 year after the date of purchase (invoice date).
It is restricted to material and manufacturing defects. Additional claims and replacement of wear and tear
parts (e.g. plumb line, art. no. 430898) are excluded.
Any variations from the intended use will result in expiration of the warranty.
The measuring equipment must be deployed and operated in accordance with the conditions specified in
this manual. We shall not assume any liability or warranty for damages resulting from non-compliance or
improper handling.

All of the device components are available from STORCH and its distribution partners.
