HOOKING-ON/REMOVING the
LUX-top
Rope Glider

The
LUX-top
Rope Glider is part of your personal protective equipment. It can be
®
hooked on or removed at any point in the LUX-top
FSE 2003 Lifeline
System.
To do this, the 3 – way karabiner must be removed from the Rope Glider.

The Rope Glider can then be positioned on the rope by pulling back the movable clamp
and re-locked by hooking on the 3 – way karabiner. You can now secure yourself with
®
your remaining PPE against falls from a height on the karabiner of the
LUX-top
Rope
Glider.

The Rope Glider is removed from the lifeline system in the same way as it is hooked on,
only in the reverse order. The person's protection ends when the remaining PPE against
®
falls from a height is detached from the
LUX-top
Rope Glider. Therefore, ensure that
the system is only detached if the user is in a safe standing area.
