MAINTENANCE which can be carried out by the user– Fig. 23 to 26
Fig. 23 –
CLEANING OF THE PRIMARY FILTER at the inlet of the HP cleaner pump
Check on a regular basis the state of the water filter
the pump inlet: A simple grain of sand can result in valve breakdown (symptoms: pressure loss
and vibration in the HP hose) or By-pass breakdown.
Fig. 24 –
RADIAL PUMP
The VIRAX HP Cleaner is fitted with a RADIAL pump whose 3 CERAMIC
PISTONS are activated by a crank-shaft system.
The pump casing contains the oil enabling the lubrication of the moving
parts by splash lubrication (no loss, contrary to an automobile).
The brass cylinder head of the pump head houses the admission valves
(Low pressure: caps located at the bottom) and the exhaust valves (High Pressure: caps located
at the top).
IT IS NECESSARY TO CHANGE THE OIL A FIRST TIME
RECOMMENDED OIL TYPE:

Not only does it ensure management of water at high pressure (mainly by
regulating the pressure ) but also the AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN OF THE
MOTOR by a a pressure switch (housingshown on picture opposite) coupled
to its piston.
NEVER USE THE DEVICE IN "JOLTS" by pressing and releasing the
trigger of the gun in fast succesion
its premature wear!

DRAINING THE PUMP
•
Unscrew the filler cap
•
Unscrew the drain plug
•
Drain all the oil
into a tray (window fig. C).
NEVER DISCARD THE OIL OR THE WASTE WATER INTO THE ENVIRONMENT!

FILLING UP THE OIL
Fill up oil by the filler cap
Check the level at the window (fig. B):
A surplus of oil would damage the pump
(also called shaft or "in line" pump)
