parts of a visor are subject to ageing, depending on treatment,
maintenance and the degree of wear, which is dependent on the
intensity of use and the specific usage conditions. When stored
in ideal conditions (cool, dry, protected from sunlight; no contact
with chemicals; without mechanical crushing, pressure or tensile
forces) and without use, the maximum useful life is 10 years after
the production date marked on the visor (Fig. 2) (e.g. 05/2015
= month 05, May, and year 2015). Usage must not exceed this
useful life, even if the product looks like it is in good condition.
Depending on the intensity of use, the visors of our brand need
to be exchanged for safety reasons 3-5 years after initial use. No
visor can protect the wearer from all potential risks. The rounded
visor and additional beading keep the risk of injury to a minimum.
In the event of a fall there is a chance of being injured if wearing
glasses. Careful attention must be paid to ensure the helmet is
the correct size and fits securely on the head, i.e. the helmet does
not wobble if the wearer nods or shakes their head. Otherwise
there is a risk that the lower edge of the visor could suddenly
and seriously impair the skier's view. Please refer to the note on
"Purchasing a ski helmet" in the user information for ski helmets,
in particular the section "Secure fit". Do not use the ski helmet
visor in road traffic. It provides protection against UV radiation,
wind and precipitation (snow, rain). However, it can only ensure
limited protection from an impact with a hard or sharp object.
The protection level / filter category of this visor is printed on the
visor shield (Fig. 6). This may be indicated as follows: S0, S1, S2,
S3 or S4. We recommend a filter category that corresponds to
the weather conditions in order to provide your eyes with ideal
protection and ensure the best visibility conditions. See figures
