The scale has 10 memory spaces for basic data, where personal details, of
individual family members for example, can be stored and called up at any
time.
- BG 50: select the memory place where your basic personal data are sto-
red by pressing the "User" button several times. The data are displayed in
succession until "0.0" appears (fig. 2).
- BG 75: you have to switch on the scales first by stepping on the platform.
Press the "USER" button. Memory places 1 to 10 now appear in the dis-
play (fig.5). Select the desired memory place by operating the "up"
"down"
buttons. The personal basic data are displayed in succession
until "0.0" (fig. 2) appears.
- Step on the scales barefoot and ensure that you are standing on the two
electrodes. Your body weight is first determined and displayed as decri-
bed under 2.2.
- Remain standing on the scales and the body fat and body water analysis
is now performed. This can take a few seconds. During this time "bF" and
"H
O" flash alternately on the display (fig. 12 + 13).

Important: Your feet, legs calves and thighs must not touch each other, as this may result in your body fat being
measured incorrectly.
- Finally your body fat proportion ("bf"). and your body water proportion ("H
les switches off automatically after approx. 5 seconds.

2.4 Tips for using the scale

Important when measuring body fat/body water:
- The measurement must only be made barefoot and it is helpful if the soles of the feet are slightly damp.
Completely dry soles can lead to unsatisfactory results, as these have too little conductivity.
- Stand still during the measurement
- Wait a few hours (6-8) after unusually strenuous activity
- Wait for about 15 minutes after getting out of bed so that the water in your body can become distributed.
Measurement of body fat and body water is not reliable in:
- children under 10 years
- individuals with fever, undergoing dialysis, with symptoms of edema or osteoporosis
- individuals taking cardiovascular medication
- Persons with substantial anatomical deviations in the legs relative to total height (leg length considerably
short or long).
Body fat guide
The following body fat levels provide you with a guideline (for further information, please consult your doctor.)
A lower level is often found in athletes. Depending on the type of sport, the intensity of training and physical
constitution, levels can be obtained that are even lower than the stated guidelines.
