using Bluetooth® ireless technology The connection is normally established using
Hands Free Pro le (HFP), hich gi es you full control of functions a ailable on the
telephone source Ho e er, depending on your phone, the connection may be made
using Head Set Pro le (HSP), making some functions una ailable This is a limitation
of your phone, not the VME 942

the market, operations ith your Bluetooth® mobile phone using this unit ary greatly

Pairing Your Mobile Phone with the Head Unit
Your mobile phone can initiate a search for ne de ices and pair to the unit The
follo ing procedure describes the pairing process
NOTE: The following procedures are generic. Procedures for pairing mobile
phones may vary slightly from phone manufacturer to phone manufacturer.
1 Press the SRC button on the front panel to access the source menu
2 Touch the BT icon on the source menu and the Bluetooth® user interface screen
ill appear
3 Touch the Options icon and the follo ing screen ill appear
4 On the Options submenu set the Bluetooth function to ON
On the Options submenu set the Connect function to ON
6 Press the "Pair" button on the head unit's Bluetooth® user interface screen
7 Access the mobile phone Bluetooth® function and set the function to ON
8 Set the mobile phone Bluetooth® disco er mode to ON
NOTE: Some discovery modes have a time limit (usually a minute) before
they are automatically turned off.
9 Use the mobile phone's add a ne de ice feature A de ice or de ices ill appear
on your mobile phone display
