Connecting a power cord
To connect a power cord:
Verify that the power switch is in the off position.

Verify that the power cord is disconnected from the main power supply.

Insert the female end of the power cord into the power connector on the rear of the

Connect the male end of the power cord into the main power supply.

Data interface connections
Notice
This product contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic
discharge (ESD). Observe precautions for handling ESD sensitive devices and
never touch connector pins unless properly grounded.
Connecting an encoder
This product can be used with linear and rotary encoders that provide digital TTL level
signals, and 1 Vpp signals. The connecting cable must not exceed 30 meters in length.
To connect an encoder cable:
Verify that the power switch is in the off position

Connect the interface cable to it's connector.

Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug.

Connecting an RS-232-C cable
This product provides an RS-232 connection for PC communication. For more information
on RS-232 communications, refer to the ND 1100 QUADRA-CHEK Operating Instructions.
To connect an RS-232 cable:
Verify that the power switch is in the off position.

Connect the interface cable to it's connector.

Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug.

Connecting a 5-pin touch probe
This product provides a connection for a 5-pin touch probe.
To connect a 5-pin touch probe cable:
Verify that the power switch is in the off position.

Insert the interface cable into it's connector.

Connecting a HEIDENHAIN universal touch probe
This product provides a connection for a HEIDENHAIN universal touch probe.
To connect a HEIDENHAIN universal touch probe cable:
Verify that the power switch is in the off position

Connect the interface cable to it's connector

Tighten the cable connector screws until they are snug
