not been reset as described under 8.2.13, however, the air cleaner will give a
reminder as soon as it is switched on again after the mains voltage to the
device has been switched off.

MAINTENANCE
9.1
Frequency of Replacement/Cleaning of the Filters
Over the course of time, the filters will become soiled so that the filtration
effect of the air cleaner deteriorates. The frequency of replacement/cleaning
of the filters depends on the ambient situation, the fan speeds used and the
running time. For further details of the filter replacement/cleaning
frequency, refer to the X-Changer and ask your dealer for advice.
TIP
You can also conclude a service contract that includes
replacement/cleaning of the filters.
9.2
Replacement/Cleaning of the Filters
See Figure 7 on the illustrations page
9.2.1
Replacement of the Blue Line Pre filter
The Pre filter is intended for single use and cannot be cleaned. It
can also only be used in one direction, therefore never turn it
around. The manufacturer recommends that the Pre filter is
replaced at the same time as the main filter is cleaned.
9.2.2
Replacement/Cleaning of the Main Filters
Filter EM Blue Line (ElectroMax)
During operation of the air cleaner, you may hear a crackling
noise now and again. This is normal and is caused by spark
discharge. If spark discharge occurs frequently or continuously,
however, the ElectroMax filter has to be cleaned. Both the
necessary cleaning tray and the special EFC cleaning agent are
available from your dealer. Closely observe the instructions on the
label of the cleaning agent. You can also conclude a maintenance
contract with our Service department.

replaced at the same time as the main filter is cleaned/replaced.
9.3
Replacement of the FreeBreeze
See Figure 6 on the illustrations page
The FreeBreeze scent cartridges lose their odour during the course of time.
Replace the FreeBreeze cartridges at regular intervals.
9.4
Maintenance of UV-C Lamp, Dust Sensor and Gas Sensor
Have your dealer check the proper function of the UV-C lamps, the dust
sensor and gas sensor at regular intervals.
9.5
Cleaning of the Outside
Clean the outside using a damp cloth. On no account should cleaning agents
containing ammonia or abrasives be used. The device is not resistant to
organic solvents such as benzene, etc. The detection of cleaning agents can
cause the gas sensor to react abnormally for a time.
