The best way to maintain your
lawnmower is by regularly
cleaning it each time it is used

Your lawnmower is an elec-
trical appliance: never wash
it with a water jet!
CLEANING
- Clean the lawnmower and
especially the inside of the
cutter housing. Remove
debris and cut grass with
a scraper and a brush
(fig. 18).
- Clean the grass bag and
brush the inside of the can-
vas carefully.
CUTTING SYSTEM
- Before and after each use,
check that the blades and
their fastenings are in good
condition. A deformed or
worn blade must be repla-
ced.
- Regularly check that the bla-
des are perfectly balanced.
Any knock against an obs-
tacle, or any abnormal wear
on a blade can cause it to
be out of balance and lead

to damage to the bearings,
and even the entire motor. In

STORAGE
- Once the mowing season is
over, clean your lawnmower
completely.

Specialist.
Then store your lawn-
mower in a dry place.
To reduce the space taken up
by your lawnmower for trans-
port or storage, the handlebar
can be quickly folded. Take
care not to damage the cable
when folding the handlebar.
- Loosen the butterfly nuts on
the intermediate handlebar
fastening and fold the top
part of the handlebar down.
- Loosen the lower handlebar
fastening buttons, move the
arms of the lower part of the
handlebar apart to lock it and
fold the handlebar forward,
holding it as you do so and
taking care not to damage
the cable.
Make sure there is no
excess load on the handlebar
before folding it: in particular
remove the power cable if you
have wound it round the han-
dlebar to tidy it away. When
you fold the handlebar, keep
your fingers away from the
hinges to avoid injury.
