Startup
Note: During Startup, you will use the Extra Cycle button to
manually advance through the stages of the regeneration cycle.
• Place the by-pass valve in the online position (handles parallel
with inlet/outlet of softener).
• Start a regeneration by holding the Extra Cycle button for five seconds.
• Advance the system to the Backwash stage by pressing the Extra
Cycle button. Ensure that water flow from the drain line remains
steady for 10 minutes or until the water runs clear.
• Advance the system to the Brine / Slow Rinse position. Ensure the
system is drawing water from the brine tank. If not, repeat this step
three times to purge air from the system.
• Advance the system to the Rapid Rinse position. Verify that there is
water flowing through the drain line and run for five minutes or until
the water runs clear.
• Advance the system to the start of the Brine Tank Fill cycle. Ensure
water fills the brine tank at the desired rate and to the desired level
(slightly over grid plate).
Note: The integrated brine valve in the brine tank will automatically
stop water fill at the correct level.
