6. Remove the bottom heating element assembly.
a. Using a hex head screwdriver, remove the two hex
screws from the bottom element cover.

b. Lift the bottom element cover off of the bottom waffle
plate and set aside. The power coils still will be attached
between the control box and both element assemblies.
c. Remove the four, recessed Phillips-head screws from the
bottom heating element assembly, one on each corner.
d. Lift the bottom heating element assembly off of the top
waffle plate and set aside with the bottom element cover.

7. The waffle plates are now separated from the heating
elements and ready for cleaning.
