General safety instructions

WARNING! Risk of burns!
• Ensure the fire pit is located on an even and fireproof surface containing neither glass nor plastic.
• ATTENTION! This fire pit becomes very hot and must not be moved during operation!
• CAUTION! Never use spirits or petrol to ignite or re-ignite the fire!
• CAUTION! Exclusively use firelighters that comply with the European standard for firelighters (EN 1860-3)!
• Do not use water to extinguish a fire.
• Allow the fire pit to cool down completely before cleaning it.
CAUTION! Risk of carbon monoxide poisoning!
• Do not use the fire pit indoors. Always use the fire pit outdoors.
Preface
Please read these assembly and operating instructions carefully before
starting to use the high-quality LANDMANN fire pit. You will soon realise
how easy and simple its assembly and operation are.
General information for successful assembly
Please read the assembly instructions carefully and follow the safety
precautions. Allow sufficient time for assembly. Before starting assembly,
clear an area measuring approximately two to three square metres.
Remove the set from the packaging. Lay out all parts and any necessary
tools so that they are within easy reach.
Please note: only tighten all of the screw connections firmly once you have
finished assembly to prevent unwanted tension.
Information for safe operation of the fire pit
The fire pit must be positioned on a stable and secure surface when it is
in use.
Do not use in enclosed areas or under covered surfaces. Use safe
lighting materials only (such as LANDMANN solid firelighters).
Igniting the fuel
WARNING! Risk of burns!
Using petrol or spirits to light the fire can result in uncontrollable
heat due to deflagration. Therefore you must use safe fuel only,
such as solid firelighters. The fire pit must be positioned on a
stable and secure surface when it is in use.

Use quality products from LANDMANN, such as LANDMANN solid
firelighters.
2.
Stack some of the wood in the fire pit.
3.
Place one or two solid firelighters on top of the layer of wood. Light
these firelighters using a long match..
4.
Allow the solid firelighters to burn for 2 to 4 minutes. Then place
additional wood on top.
Cleaning/care
WARNING! Risk of burns!
Allow the fire pit to cool down completely before cleaning it.
Never use water to extinguish the hot fire pit. This may cause
burns or scalding.
DANGER to children and pets!
Never leave the hot barbecue unattended.
CAUTION! Keep away from children and pets!
Occasional cleaning is necessary in order to preserve its clean appearance.
Do not use any scouring agents.

A rinsing cloth, water and some washing-up liquid is sufficient for
normal cleaning processes.
2.
If the enamelled parts are heavily soiled, use a commercial enamel
cleaning agent (oven cleaner). Observe the manufacturer's
instructions for the applied cleaning agent.
Environmental information & disposal measures
Pay attention to cleanliness when using the fire pit and disposing of waste.
As a general rule, exclusively dispose of waste in designated metal or non-
flammable containers.
The local regulations for disposal apply.
Warranty
We grant a warranty for the fire pit for the duration of two years, starting
with the date of purchase, please provide proof of purchase. The warranty
includes manufacturing deficiencies and defective parts; it extends to the
replacement of these parts. The warranty excludes rusting and general
wear and tear' . For full terms and conditions of our warranty please visit
