This mulch kit is designed for use with 60" fabricated decks found on
select Cub Cadet XT-3 model riding lawn mowers. Remove all contents
from the carton and make sure all listed components are present before
beginning installation. Throughout these instructions, references will
be made to your mower deck operator's manual.
WARNING:
Before beginning installation, place the
tractor on a firm and level surface, set the parking brake,
place the PTO in the disengaged (OFF) position, stop the
tractor's engine and remove the ignition key to prevent
unintended starting.
1. Remove the deck from your lawn mower by carefully following
the instructions in the Service section of your deck operator's
manual.
2. With someone's help, carefully flip the deck over, laying it flat on
the ground.

Description

Baffle Installation

1. Remove the chute deflector baffle from the underside of the deck
by removing the two carriage bolts and flange lock nuts that
secure it to the deck. See Figure 1-2.

2. With the baffle removed, re-install the two carriage bolts and

flange lock nuts back into place on the deck. See Figure 1-2.

3. Use the four carriage bolts (ref. part #6) and four flange lock nuts
(ref. part #7) supplied with this kit to install the right mulch baffle

(ref. part #3). over the discharge chute. See Figure 1-3.
