Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in. Always put
the appliance on a heat-resistant surface when it is heating up and
when it is hot.
Select a temperature setting that is suitable for your hair type.
Always select a low setting when you use the curler for the irst time.

For thick or coarse hair, select a medium to high setting (170 and up).
For ine or normal hair, select a medium to low setting (160 and

below).
Take extra care with pale, blonde, bleached or colour-treated hair, since
it is susceptible to damage at high temperature settings.
Press the + button to increase the temperature setting or the -
button to decrease the temperature setting (Fig. ).

The display shows the selected temperature setting.

As soon as the appliance has heated up to the set temperature
setting, the word 'READY' appears on the display. (Fig. 5)

If you want to lock the set temperature setting, press and hold the
temperature decrease/lock button for a few seconds (see section
'Temperature lock').

Divide your hair into locks and put them aside with clips. (Fig. 6)
Note: The thinner the lock of hair, the tighter the curl becomes.

Start curling at the lower part of your head and work your way up
to the crown.
Take the lock of hair you want to curl and comb it irst, to get rid

of tangles (Fig. 7)

Press the lever to open the clip. Place the lock of hair between the
barrel and the clip (Fig. 8).

Release the lever and slide the barrel to the end of the lock of
hair (Fig. 9).
Take the cool tip between your ingertips and wind the lock of hair

around the barrel until you have almost reached your scalp. Make
