Problem
Smoke
escapes from
the hair or
from the
curler during
use.

remove the
styler from

gel).
You have used the
appliance at a
temperature setting
that is too high for you
hair type.

surroundings, the air
contains more
moisture than in
others. The heat of the

in the surrounding air
to evaporate.
The appliance has not
yet heated up to the
set temperature setting.

Never put styling products in
your hair before you use the
curler.
Always use the appliance at
a temperature setting that is
suitable for your hair type.
This is normal and harmless.
Make sure you use a

temperature setting if this
setting still produces the
desired curling result.
Let the appliance heat up
until the word 'READY'
appears on the display. Do
not touch the barrel, as you
could burn yourself on them
even if the appliance has not
reached the set temperature
setting yet.
