First-time use
DANGER to children
Danger to life due to suffocation/choking.
Keep the packing material out of the reach of children. Dispose of it
immediately.
Remove the crepe maker and the batter spreader from the packaging.
Heat the appliance once without crepe batter for 4 minutes at the highest
temperature (see "Cooking crepes"), let it cool and then clean it as described in the
section "Cleaning" to remove any possible deposits left during manufacture.
The first time the maker is heated a slight odour may develop.
This is entirely harmless. Ensure there us adequate ventilation.
Cooking crepes
1.
unwind the power cord completely and position it so that it cannot touch the
appliance while you are cooking.
2.
insert the mains plug into a wall socket.
3.
move the temperature selection switch fully to the right to level 5 and switch the
crepe maker on using the On/Off switch. The red indicator light lights up and the
appliance heats up.
After approx. 4 minutes the green indicator light comes on.
The baking plate has reached the correct temperature for the level you have set.
4.
pour a small amount of crepe batter onto the baking plate and spread it with
circular movements using the batter spreader.
Moisten the batter spreader before use. This prevents the dough from sticking to the
spreader.
Pour slightly more batter onto the baking plate for practice when making your first
crepes. It is easier to handle a slightly thicker crepe.
When you pour the batter onto the hot baking plate you might hear some slight crackling
noised caused by differences in temperature and voltage. This does not damage the
appliance.
The green indicator lamp goes on and off repeatedly during use. This indicates when the
appliance is heating up in order to maintain the required temperature.
