For products not sold in GB:
WARNING: For your safety, it is required that
the plug attached to the machine is connected
with the extension cord. The coupling of the ex-
tension cord must be protected against splash
water, be made of rubber or coated with rubber.
The extension cord must be used with a cable
strain relief.
The connection lead must be inspected for signs
of damage at regular intervals and may only be
used if in perfect conditions.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be re-
placed by a Bosch Service Centre.
Products sold in GB only: Your product is fitted
with an BS 1363/A approved electric plug with
internal fuse (ASTA approved to BS 1362).
If the plug is not suitable for your socket outlets,
it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fit-
ted in its place by an authorised customer serv-
ice agent. The replacement plug should have the
same fuse rating as the original plug.
The severed plug must be disposed of to avoid a
possible shock hazard and should never be in-
serted into a mains socket elsewhere.
Products sold in AUS and NZ only: Use a resid-
ual current device (RCD) with a rated residual
current of 30 mA or less.
Assembly
Ensure the cables are not trapped when
folding/unfolding top/bottom handles. Do
not drop the handles.
Handle assembly (see figure A)
Insert the handle bottom 6 into the holes
provided and secure with the screws.
Attach the handle top 3 with the bolts and
wing nuts 4 to the handle bottom 6.
Note: The handle top 3 is height adjustable. Fix
handles in desired position I or II.
Attach cable to cable restraint 11 ensuring that
sufficient cable slack is available. (non GB mod-
els) (see figure B)
Note: Ensure that the cable clip supplied is used
to fix the cable to the handle.

Snap together the grassbox (see figure C)
Snap the grassbox top on the grassbox bottom
by pushing all the "snap fits" together around
the edges starting at rear and working towards
the front.

Lift the deflector guard 5 and hold up, fit or re-
move the grassbox 10.
For non grass collection the mower can be used
without the grassbox 10 in position, with the de-
flector guard 5 in the down position.
Adjusting the Cutting Height (see figure F)
Stop, release switch lever and wait until the
motor stops before adjusting height. The
blades continue to rotate after the machine
is switched off, a rotating blade can cause in-
jury.
Caution – do not touch the rotating blade.
For the first cutting of the season, a high cutting
height should be selected.
Your garden product has 3 settings that result to
the following cutting heights:
I
20 mm
II
40 mm
III
60 mm
Remove the grassbox 10 to aid adjustment.
Lift the garden product and pull/push the
wheel 9 to the front of the garden product
using the hand position on the wheel.
Raise/lower the wheel 9.
Allow wheel 9 to locate in desired posi-
tion.
Make sure that all wheels 9 are set to the same
cutting height.
