Mounting
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
The stand was designed for use with the
GBM 32-4 drill and ensures optimum work-
ing results in conjunction with this ma-
chine.
The auxiliary handle may not be mount on the
GBM 32-4 drill.
Insert the spindle collar of the drill into the clamp-
ing flange 3. Attach the GBM 32-4 drill with the
side holder 2. Tighten the clamping flange 3 with
an Allen key.
Initial Operation
Check for correct mains voltage: The voltage
of the power source must agree with the voltage
specified on the nameplate of the machine.
Equipment marked with 230 V can also be con-
nected to 220 V.
Switching On and Off
The mains plug of the GBM 32-4 drill
must be inserted into the socket 5!
The GBM 32-4 drill must be switched on. For
this purpose, lock the on/off switch with the
locking button.
Switching on: Press the "Magnet" on/off
switch 6 upward.
Check if the drill stand adheres
to the work piece surface.
Switch on by pressing I on the
"Motor" on/off switch 4.
The drill can be switched on only when the
magnet has been previously switched on.
Switching off: Switch off by pressing 0 on the
"Motor" on/off switch 4.
Wait until the motor comes to a
complete standstill.
Press the "Magnet" on/off
switch 6 downward.
Restarting Protection
Prevents uncontrolled restarting of the machine
after an interruption in the mains supply.
Returning to operation: Switch on by pressing I
on the "Motor" on/off switch 4.
Note: The magnet switches itself automatically
on again after the return of power.

Operating Instructions
Only sharp drill bits produce good drilling
results and protect the machine. Do not
load the machine so heavily that it comes
to a standstill (GBM 32-4).
The magnetic holding force of the drill
stand depends primarily on the thickness
of the work piece. The material thickness
should not be less than 8 mm.
A
For all work overhead and on surfaces
that are not horizontal, the drill stand and
GBM 32-4 drill are to be secured from fall-
ing down by the safety chain 7.
The stand may be used only on work
pieces with adequately smooth and clean
surfaces.
Smooth course unevenness (e. g. splattering
from welding).
Remove loose rust, dirt and grease.
For drilling in metal, use only flawlessly sharp-
ened HSS drills. The appropriate quality is guar-
anteed by the Bosch accessories program.
Drilling with core drills requires no great exertion
of force. Drill without high pressure. Care should
be taken to ensure that the material wastage is
transported upward and away from the machine.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the mains plug.
If the machine should fail despite the rigorous
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair
should be carried out by an authorised after-sales
service centre for Bosch power tools.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 10-digit order number
given on the nameplate of the machine.
