Marking Right Angles
D
If right angles are to be marked, the laser beam is to
be aligned in the vertical position parallel to the refer-
ence line (tile edge, wall). The right angle is indicated
by the deflected variable laser beam.
Marking Plumb Lines
E
Place the unit in the vertical position, e.g., in front of a
wall and aim the laser point/laser line at the location on
which the vertical is to be indicated/marked. Select
line or rotation operation and indicate/mark the verti-
cal.
Indicating Vertical Planes (Partitions, Joint
F
Cuts)
Place the unit in the vertical position so that the laser
point falls exactly on the reference line, e.g., the parti-
tion. Then align the laser beam parallel to the reference
wall. Select point or rotation operation and mark the
beam points.
Projecting a Floor Point to the Ceiling
G
(Plumb)
For exact alignment of the plumb beam (laser) over the
floor point, plumb notches are located at the lower
edge of the housing. For this purpose, mark two right-
angle lines (crosshairs) through the floor point and
align the unit with the plumb notches.

The laser source is located directly over the horizontals
and at the height of the vertical tripod connection. With
the use of a tripod 27 (accessory), a plumb line can be
attached to the tripod attachment screw and thereby
the laser aligned to a point on the floor.
Marking Inclines
H
For the marking of an incline, the automatic levelling
must be switched off with the aid of the remote control
29 (accessory) (see Switching Off the Automatic Lev-
elling). The unit can then be placed in any inclined po-
sition.
For the marking of an inclined line, e.g. on a wall, align
the laser beam by means of a object placed under one
side or by adjusting the tripod 27 (accessory) parallel
to the desired incline.
Within the self-levelling range of 8 %, the inclination
can also be set with the aid of the remote control 29
(accessory).
For the marking of inclination in only one axis direction
(e.g., floor slope), select the single axis inclined opera-
tion (see Single Axis Inclined Operation). In this case,
align the unit with the Y-axis parallel to the slope direc-
tion.
