Dangerous electrical voltage! Danger of fatal electric shock if the electric cable is
run over! Never loop in the direction of the cable! Always hold the cable above the
machine or run the cable in such a way that it has no contact with the abrasive.
Fire hazard! The grinding of nails can generate sparks that can ignite a fire. Always
countersink nails so deeply that there is no risk of them grinding.
Make sure that the machine is switched off when connected to the power supply.
Before switching on, make sure that the machine is loaded with abrasive paper. Only
switch on the machine with the grinding roller in an upright position and not in
contact with the ground!

14.1.1 Tips for correct grinding

The floor is sanded in abrasive paths that overlap from left to right.
Each grinding path corresponds to a forward and a backward grinding without offset on the same
track.
Each backward sanding is followed by a forward sanding, which is offset about ten centimetres to
the right.
Due to the space required by the operator and the machine, the floor remains unpolished at a
distance of 1.5 metres from the wall behind the grinding machine.
To reach this area, you must turn the machine 180°. This surface is then also ground in grinding
paths that overlap from left to right. Ensure a smooth transition to the surface that has already
been ground.
Always move the machine evenly during grinding to avoid any dents in the floor.
Under no circumstances should the machine come to a standstill with the grinding roller lowered,
as it would immediately grind a recess in the floor.
In order to achieve a beautiful surface of the floor, several sanding cycles are usually necessary.
Before using the machine, find out about suitable abrasive grits.
