• Remove the batteries from the device if they are empty or if you
are not using the device. This way, you can avoid damages at-
tributed to leaking.
• If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes
and mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event of
contact with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas instantly
with plenty of clean water and immediately consult a physician.
Immediately remove a leaky battery from the device. Clean the
contacts before you insert a new battery.
• The batteries may not be charged or reactivated using other
means, they may not be disassembled, disposed of in fi re, im-
mersed in liquids or be short circuited.
Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device
• Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe tem-
perature fl uctuations, direct sunlight or moisture.
• Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops,
ovens, fi replaces or burning candles.
• Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong
percussions.
• Keep the device away from sharp objects.
• Only use the device in enclosed areas.
• Ensure that the device does not fall in water or is at risk of get-
ting wet.
• If the device is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In
the event of damage, contact the customer service department.
