9. Protect your eyes.
Wear protective goggles. When handing adhesives, special attention must be paid to
the warning information given by the adhesive manufacturer. Protect yourself against
splashes of solder. There is a risk of burning by liquid solder.
10. Use the soldering fume extraction device suited to the work location.
If appliances for the connection of soldering fume extraction devices are available,
satisfy yourself that these are in perfect condition and that they are being used correctly.
11. Do not use the cable for purposes other than those for which it is
intended.
Do not use the cable to pull the plug out of the socket. Protect the cable against heat, oil
and sharp edges.
12. Avoid abnormal posture.
Arrange your work station in an ergonomically correct way. Avoid bad posture when
working. Always use the correct tool.
13. Take good care of your power tool.
Keep the power tool and accessories clean in order to be able to work more efficiently
and in greater safety. Follow the maintenance provisions and advice regarding the
replacement of filters. Inspect the power tool cable regularly and, should it be damaged,
have it replaced by a recognised specialist. Inspect extension cables regularly and replace
them when necessary. Keep the handles dry and free from oil and grease.
14. Pull the plug out of the socket.
When not using the power tool, before maintenance or when replacing filters.
15. Don't leave any maintenance tools or spanners behind.
Before switching on, check that spanners and adjusting tools have been removed and
that the unit has been properly reassembled.
16. Avoid unintentional starting.
When plugging into the socket or connector, make sure that the switch is switched off
at the mains.

17. Be alert.
Pay attention to what you are doing. Approach your work sensibly. Do not use the
power tool when you are not concentrating.
18. Check the power tool for possible damage.
Before further use of the power tool, protective devices or slightly damaged parts must
be carefully examined to ensure that they are working perfectly and in compliance with
the intended use. Check to see if the movable parts are working perfectly and are not
jamming, or if parts are damaged. Every part must be correctly fitted and must satisfy
all the requirements necessary to guarantee trouble-free operation of the power tool.
Damaged protective devices and parts must be properly repaired or replaced by a
recognised specialist workshop, except where detailed in the operating instructions.
19. Attention
Only use accessories or add-on units specified in the accessory list of the operating
instructions. Only use WELLER accessories or add-on units on original WELLER
equipment. The use of other tools and other accessories can mean that you run the risk
of injury.
20. Have your power tool repaired by a qualified electrical specialist.
This power tool complies with the appropriate safety regulations. Repairs may only be
carried out by a qualified electrical specialist using original WELLER spare parts;
otherwise accidents can result for the operator.
21. Use with other WELLER equipment.
If the power tool is operated in conjunction with other WELLER units or add-on units,
the warning information contained in their respective operating instructions must also
be read.
22. Observe the safety regulations applicable to your workplace.
