Preparing frozen bread or toast
■ Set the desired toasting level with the
selector.
■ Insert the bread to be toasted into the
toast slot.
■ Press the push-down lever down until it
engages. The stop button lights up.

■ Defrosting ends when the bread being
toasted is ejected.
Notes
■ If the item being toasted gets stuck, the
toaster turns itself off automatically.
■ If the item being toasted gets stuck
in the toast slot, pull out the plug and
carefully remove the bread after the
toaster has cooled down.
■ For one slice of toast, set the toasting
level lower than for two slices.
■ Toast items only until they are golden
brown and not dark or brown. Remove
any burnt edges. Do not over-toast
foods containing starch, especially grain
and potato products (to reduce the
production of acrylamides).
Cleaning and maintenance

Pull the power plug and let the toaster cool
down. Never immerse the appliance in
water or place it in the dishwasher!
Do not steam-clean the appliance.
Do not use oven or grill spray for cleaning.
■ Remove the crumb tray and wipe it
clean.
■ Remove crumbs under the warming
rack with a hard brush.
■ Clean the toaster's exterior with a damp
cloth; do not use strong or abrasive
cleaning agents.
Tip: Clean the stainless steel surface with a
commercial stainless steel care product.
