CONNECTING THE BREATHING VALVE
Check that the breathing hose is securely connected to the breathing valve [Fig. 8]

and to the quick coupling on the supply hose (if fitted).
With the positive pressure switched off open the cylinder valve.

Check that no air flow is heard.
3.
Check the cylinder pressure.
4.
Screw the breathing valve into the threaded connection of the mask. The fixed

horizontal position of the valve is ensured by the guiding bracket [Fig. 9].
Positive pressure activates automatically.

Check that a strong air flow is heard when two fingers are inserted between the

sealing edge and face. [Fig. 10]
To remove fog from the visor - flush it with air by pressing the purge button for a

couple of seconds.

DOFFING THE FACE MASK
Switch off the positive pressure.
1.
Open the buckles to release the head harness and loosen the straps.
2.
Remove the face mask.
3.
Close the cylinder valve and depressurise the unit by activating the positive
4.
pressure.

DISCONNECT THE BREATHING VALVE
Unscrew the breathing valve from the mask connection.
1.
Disconnect the breathing valve from the breathing hose.
2.

CLEAN AND DISINFECT
Clean, disinfect and dry parts as necessary after use.

FACE MASK AND EXHALATION VALVE
Disconnect the breathing valve from the face mask.

Push at the locking tabs on each side of the exhalation valve cover to release it.

Remove the exhalation valve assembly [Fig. 12].
