Trouble Shooting
Before performing any maintenance or cleaning work, always turn off the engine and wait until the cutter has come
to a standstill.
Problem
The engine does not start
The engine engages, but starting
is difficult
The engine becomes excessively
hot
Heavy vibrations from the
machine
The engine runs irregularly
Fall in engine power
Uneven or poor finish with yellow-
ing of the longer/lower grasses
Inadequate ejection of cut grass
into collector bag and/or excess
grass clippings left on the surface

Incorrect throttle position
Spark plug cap defective
Fuel tank empty
Fuel flow valve closed
Ignition malfunction
Operator control lever not properly

Engine oil too viscous for operating
conditions
Engine cooling fins blocked
Low oil level
Screws or bolts loose
Blade attachment bolt loose
Unbalanced or damaged blade
Air filter dirty
Spark plug dirty
Poor quality or
contaminated petrol
Air filter dirty
Seized or blocked throttle control
Lack of engine compression
Blunt blade
Cutting height set too low
Cutting height is too low
Worn or bent blade
Blockage between deck and collector

Solution
Select the correct setting
Replace the spark plug cap
Fill fuel tank
Open the fuel valve
Contact an approved dealer
Press fully the lever operator
Change the oil
Clean engine exterior carefully
Check the oil level
Tighten the screws/bolts
Check blade attachment bolt
Replace blade
Clean or replace the air filter
Clean spark plug
Drain fuel tank and refill with unlea-
ded 95 RON minimum
Clean or replace the air filter
Clean the throttle assembly
Contact an approved dealer
Sharpen or renew the blade
Raise the cutting height
Advance throttle to maximum
Advance throttle to maximum
Raise the cutting heigh
Replace the blade
Clear blockage/clean bag
