Residual risks
Even if you use this electric power tool in
accordance with the instructions, certain
residual risks cannot be eliminated. The fol-
lowing hazards may arise in connection with
the equipment's construction and layout:
1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust
mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protec-
tion is applied.
Warning!
This equipment generates an electromag-
netic fi eld during operation. Under certain
circumstances this fi eld may actively or pas-
sively impede medical implants. To reduce
the risk of serious or fatal injuries, we recom-
mend persons with medical implants to con-
sult their doctor and the manufacturer of the
medical implant prior to using the equipment.
5. Before starting the equipment
The lawn mower is delivered partly assembled.
The push bar and the grass basket must be as-
sembled before using the lawn mower. Follow the
instructions step by step and refer to the pictures
when assembling.
Important! Required assembly parts (screws,
cable guides, etc.) or functional parts (e.g. plugs,
wrenches, etc.) can be found in the molded parts
of the packaging or on the equipment.
Fitting the push bar (Fig. 3 – 4a)
Draw the push bar apart. Lock the two bottom
shafts (10/11) in position using the supplied
quick-release lever (12) as shown in Fig. 3. Take
care with the teeth on the handlebar adjustment
facility when you do so (A). If necessary, turn each
of the quick-release levers (12) back suffi ciently
on the thread so that it can still be fl ipped down
towards the back afterwards.
Next, lock the top push bar (2) with the two other
quick-release levers (12). Here again, only turn
the quick-release lever in each case so far on the
thread so that it can still be fl ipped towards the
back again.
You can adjust the angle of the handlebar as a
whole by fl ipping up the two lower quick-release
levers (12), with three settings available for the

angle. As you do this, make sure that both sides
are set to the same position. To secure the push
bar again, fl ip the two quick-release levers (13)
back into the closed position.
You can adjust the angle of the upper push bar
(Fig. 4a) by fl ipping up the two upper quick-
release levers (Fig. 4/Item 12), with three settings
available for the angle. As you do this, make sure
that both sides are set to the same position. To
secure the push bar again, fl ip the two quick-
release levers back into the closed position.
Then fasten the power cable to the upper push
bar and the lower right push bar with the cable
clips (Fig. 4/Item 14).
Fitting the catch basket
Before you fi t the catch basket you must ensure
that the motor is switched off and the blade is not
rotating. Lift the ejector fl ap (Fig. 5/Item 6) with
one hand. Using the other hand, grab onto the
basket by the handle and hang it in from the top.
Filling level indicator of the grass collector
The grass collector is equipped with a fi lling level
indicator (Fig. 5a/Item 15). which is opened by the
airfl ow that the lawn mower generates during ope-
ration. If the fl ap closes during mowing, the grass
collecting device is full and must be emptied. To
ensure the proper functioning of the fi lling level
indicator, the holes under the fl ap must always be
kept clean and passable.
Adjusting the cutting height
Caution!
Adjust the cutting height only when the machine
has been switched off and the safety plug has
been pulled out.
The cutting height is adjusted as follows (see Fig.
6):
1. Push the lever (5) downwards.
2. Set the lever (5) to the desired cutting height.
3. Release the lever (5) and check that it is se-
curely seated in the lock.
Reading off the cutting height
The cutting height can be set between 25-65 mm
in 5 intervals, and can be read off on the scale.
Before you begin to mow, check to ensure that the
blade is not blunt and that none of the fasteners
are damaged. To prevent any imbalance, replace
blunt and/or damaged blades. To carry out this
