Switching Off
– To switch off, press the On/Off button 4 until the LED indi-
cator 5 goes out.
Automatic shut-off:
Note: The glue pen switches off automatically after 10 min-
utes in order to save energy.
– Switch the glue pen on again and check the LED indicator
5.
When the battery LED indicator briefly lights up red, the
battery must be recharged.
After use, place down the glue pen in a safe manner and
allow it to cool down completely before packing it
away. The hot nozzle can cause damage and/or burns.
Working Advice
Do not allow the hot glue or the nozzle tip to come into
contact with persons or animals. Glue and nozzle tip
reach a temperature of approx. 170 °C; danger of burning.
If hot glue comes into contact with the skin, hold the affect-
ed area immediately under a stream of cold water for sev-
eral minutes. Do not try to remove the glue from the skin.
Use only glues recommended by the manufacturer of the glue
pen (see page 3).
Bonded connections can loosen under the effect of moisture.

Troubleshooting – Causes and Corrective Measures
Problem
The glue stick is not transported.
Glue stick falls out of glue pen.
Long after-run or dripping period
after relieving the feed.
Glue pen dripping continuously
without feed actuated.
Feed blocked through glue escap-
ing toward the rear.
Glue does not flow uniformly.

Preparations for Gluing
The surfaces to be glued must be clean, dry and free of
grease.
The materials to be glued as well as the surface on which you
are working may not be easily ignitable or inflammable.
Check the suitability of heat-sensitive materials first on a test
workpiece.
The ambient temperature and the workpieces to be glued may
not be colder than +5 °C and warmer than +50 °C.
Materials, such as metal, which cool off the glue quickly,
should be preheated with a hot air gun.
Gluing (see figure B)
– Insert the appropriate glue stick 6 for the material being
glued via the opening at the rear of the glue pen.
– Switch the glue pen on and allow it to heat up (see "Switch-
ing On", page 10).
The glue pen is ready for operation after approx. 15 sec-
onds.
– Press the feed trigger 3 applying moderate pressure.
– Apply the glue only on one side (also see "Practical Ad-
vice", page 11).
– After applying the glue, immediately press the surfaces to
be glued together. Correcting the gluing location is still
possible at this point.
The glued spot can be subjected to load after a cool-down
period of approx. 2 minutes.
Remove glue residue after cooling with a blunt object. If re-
quired, glued spots can be separated again by applying heat.
Do not use inflammable solvents for cleaning the sur-
faces to be glued. Solvent remainders can ignite from the
hot glue, or hazardous vapours can develop.
Glue remainders on clothing cannot be removed.
Glued spots can be painted.
