Use
Warning:
•
Never fasten the throttle.
Attention:
•
The further the lever is depressed, the higher
the speed.
•
The selection switch set-up determines the
speed of a fully depressed control lever.
•
Release the throttle in good time when
approaching obstacles. Moving too fast
over an obstacle (e.g. pavement) may cause
the wheelchair to suddenly stop and cause
discomfort to the occupant.
•
The wheelchair parking brake is released
automatically if the control lever is depressed.
When the control lever is no longer used and
wheelchair comes to a halt, the parking brake
will again be deployed. Switching the brake
on and off makes a clicking sound.
•
Avoid getting clothing etc. entangled in the
throttle.
Driving in reverse
n Push the control lever upwards.
The wheelchair will move backwards.
Attention:
•
The further the lever is pushed upwards, the
higher the speed.
•
The maximum reverse speed is approximately
half the maximum forward speed.
Brakes
If you need to brake during a walk when using the
push support, the push support will support this. This
makes it easier to walk down a slope.

Free-wheel lever activated,
push support on
n Do not depress the control lever as far,
or release it completely.
The parking brake will be activated
automatically when the throttle is not
operated.
Driving without push support
Under normal circumstances a wheelchair
with Aura push support can only be moved
with the push support. When the push
support is switched off, the parking brake is
activated and driving is no longer possible.
In order to be able to move the wheelchair if
the battery is empty or if there is a fault, the
motors are provided with free-wheel levers.
These levers can be used to switch off the par-
king brake when the push support is switched
off.
Warning:
•
Before releasing the parking brakes
using the free-wheel lever, check that
the wheelchair cannot make any un-
wanted movements.
•
This can lead to dangerous situations,
particularly on slopes. Do not switch
to free-wheel unless strictly necessary.
In these kinds of situations allow the
occupant to step out first and ensure
that there is sufficient help in order to
keep hold of the wheelchair.
Attention:
•
Ensure that the parking brakes are al-
ways switched on again before leaving
the wheelchair unattended.
