CHAP. 7 – DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
THE SAFETY PROTECTIONS
In Fig. 3 the safety protections are indicated in the table below by number and relevant description. The safety protections must be carefully
mounted in order to work in perfect conditions. Do not use the machine with one or more protections missing or the safety damaged.
PART. N°
THE SIDE BRUSH
The side brush, Part. 1, Fig. 4, acts as conveyor of dust and debris and, it is employed to clean borders, corners and angles. After the usage the
side brush must be disconnected (lifted) in order to avoid dust in the air which could limit the cleaning effect of central brush, the central brush
has far better cleaning capacity than the side brush.
As optional equipment the left side brush is also available upon request.
WARNINGS: Do not touch the side brush in action; do not let the machine pick up filaments, thread, strings, etc.
CENTRAL BRUSH:
The central brush Part. 2, Fig. 4 is the main part of the machine it has the function to load dust and waste into the container; it can be of
different stiffness and bristles according to the material to be picked up and the flooring; it is adjustable in height when worn down ( see
chap. 12).
WARNINGS: Do not move the machine over filaments in general since material like strings, cords, straps etc. when picked up could twine
around the brushes and damage them. Also sticks longer than 25 cm can damage the brushes.
THE ANTI-DUST GASKETS
Part. 3, Fig. 4. The gaskets, set around the central brush, enable the filtering effect. The anti-dust gaskets are essential for the proper
functioning so their conditions need to be checked on a regular basis.
THE FILTERING SYSTEM
The filtering system, with the help of 5 cartridge filters Part. 1 Fig. 5, prevent the spread of dust in the environment around the working area
making the machine particularly suitable to work indoors. The filtering system can be switched on and off by the proper button Part. 3, visible
in Fig. 8.
WARNINGS: switch off the filtering system when going over wet or humid surfaces to avoid wetting and therefore ruining the cartridge
filters.
