Steam Ironing
For this a high temperature is needed.
1. Turn the temperature control (1) to position „• • •" (cotton, linen).
2. Move both operating switches (8/9) to position b. When the lamp in operating
switch II goes out there is enough steam for steam operation.
Warning: The steam is hot! There is a danger of scalding!
You can set the desired quantity of steam with the steam regulator (7). With
the steam jet button (2) you can produce a short powerful jet of steam or a
permanent jet of steam by locking the fi xing device (3) in place.
3. The iron has an anti-drip function.
4. The water tank can be replenished with water. First turn operating switch II to
Off. Operating switch I remains switched to b.
Note: If there is still some residual pressure in the water tank, a safety lock
prevents the water tank catch (11) from being opened. The residual pressure
fi rst has to be relieved before the device can be safely opened.
5. With the steam jet button you can now release the residual steam pressure.
When no further steam comes out of the iron sole plate, turn operating switch
I to Off. Then please remove the mains plug and carefully open the water tank
lock (11).
Warning: The steam is hot! There is a danger of scalding!
6. With the help of a funnel fi ll freshwater from a measuring beaker into the water
tank. Do not overfi ll! Take care of water splashes that might come out of the
boiler. In order to prevent the water from splashing it should be fi lled into the
funnel slowly after the safety lock has been opened.
7. Fasten the safety lock again.
8. Insert the power plug back into the socket.
Note: Never open the water tank lock while the device is being operated.
When ironing at low temperatures, please ensure that you reduce the quantity of
steam or iron without steam altogether.
Vertical Steam
This can be used to produce a jet of steam in a vertical direction.
Self-Cleaning
Any lime residues which form in the sole plate are automatically removed due to
the heat and steam pressure.
