Start pyrolysis function
1. Switch on the appliance by pressing the ON/OFF button.
2. Select the pyrolysis function by turning the function dial. The symbol for the pyrolysis
function is displayed on the screen.
3. Make sure that all accessories have been removed from the inside of the oven and
that the oven door is securely closed.
4. Press the START/PAUSE key to start the pyrolysis function.
Note the following during pyrolysis
• Ensure that the kitchen is adequately ventilated while the pyrolysis function is being
carried out.
• The oven door is securely closed immediately after the pyrolysis function is started
and can only be opened again when the oven interior has reached a relatively safe
temperature.
• As soon as the pyrolysis function is finished, a continuous tone sounds and the oven
stops heating. By pressing the START/PAUSE key, the sound can be switched off or
you can wait until the sound stops after some time.
• Once the pyrolysis function has been started, no changes can be made to the
settings. The process can only be paused or stopped.
After stopping the pyrolysis function
Let the appliance cool down completely. Then use a damp cloth to remove the ash
residue inside the oven and around the appliance door. Replace everything in the
appliance.
General notes
• During pyrolysis mode, the frame on the inside of the unit may become discoloured.
This is normal and has no effect on the performance of the unit. The discoloration
can be removed with a stainless steel cleaner.
• Heavy soiling may cause white residue on the enamelled surfaces. These are
harmless food residues. This has no effect on the performance of the appliance.
If necessary, these residues can be removed with lemon juice or other cleaning
agents.
