6.3 Overload Protection
A built-in overload protection protects the swit-
ched mode switched power pack from damage

in the event of an overload or a short circuit. The
switched mode switched power pack turns itself
off and waits until the problem has been cor-
rected. Do not try to run any locomotive or control
any turnout as long as the problem is still present.

Plug the power pack into the controller
Important Note:
The train controller may only be connected to
the power pack included with the set. The use
of other power packs or transformers is not autho-
rized!
The train controller requires the power pack as
a source of power. Therefore, only the power
pack (1) with the cable (2) may be plugged into the
socket on the train controller (7) – see picture 6.2.

The power pack may not be plugged into
the wall outlet until the wiring for the layout is
fi nished.
