For connections, refer to the wiring diagram in fig. 3. More than one motor can be
controlled with one single pushbutton control panel by connecting the motors "in
parallel". The cable of the motor has 4 wires:
– Brown: = Electric ascent/descent phase.
– Black: = Electric descent/ascent phase.
– Blue: = Common (usually connected to Neutral).
– Yellow-green: = Earth (equipotential bonding protection).
• Associating the Ascent and Descent movements with the
respective control buttons
After making the connections, run a number of manoeuvres to ensure that the
ascent and descent movements are associated correctly with the respective control
buttons. If this is not so, invert the connection of the Brown and Black wires.

PROGRAMMING
5.1 - Warnings for programming
• In general
- Strictly observe the time limits specified in the procedures.
- Positions 0 and 1 of the shutter, mentioned in the text, correspond to those
shown in fig. 5.
- During installation and adjustment operations, while final electrical connections
are still to be made, the tubular motor can be controlled with Nice's specific
"TTU" unit (fig. 2).

5.2 - Warnings for programming of limit
switches
The limit switches "0" and "1" (fig. 5) represent the basic positions of the shutter at
the end of the Ascent ("0") or at the end of the Descent ("1").
These positions can be programmed in various ways: the choice of the procedure
must take into account whether or not the shutter is fitted with safety stops which
determine the Ascent travel limit (therefore the maximum shutter opening) and or
with anti-intrusion springs which prevent the shutter from being manually lifted when
completely closed. The procedures available are:
6
PROCEDURES
6.1 - Programming the limit switches "0" and "1" in AUTOMATIC mode
01. Keep the Ascent (or Descent) button pressed to move the shutter until it is half open.
02. Keep the Ascent button pressed until the shutter stops against the travel limit ("0"), then release the button.
03. Keep the Descent button pressed until the shutter stops against the travel limit ("1"), then release the button.

3 – English
• Automatic (paragraph 6.1): ideal for shut-
ters with safety stops and with anti-intru-
sion springs.
• Manual (paragraph 6.2): ideal for shutters
without safety stops and without anti-
intrusion springs.
• Semi-automatic (paragraph 6.3): ideal for
shutters with safety stops but without anti-
intrusion springs or vice versa.
Warning – Only one of these procedures must be carried out. If the limit switches are
already memorised and it is necessary to memorise them again the Era Star A mem-
ory must be deleted beforehand following the procedure 6.5.
5.3 - Warnings for the "obstacle detection"
The "obstacle detection" function described in chapter 2, is automatically activated
at the same time as the limit switch programming performed using one of the three
procedures available.
The sensitivity to the obstacle can then be adjusted, i.e. the force that the motor
must apply against the obstacle to free the shutter. To adjust the sensitivity follow
procedure 6.4.
If this function blocks the shutter movement frequently for no apparent reason (no
physical obstacle), deactivate this function following the procedure B - "Secondary
procedure", in paragraph 6.2.
Caution! - This programming procedure is suitable for shutters with safety stops and anti-intrusion
springs.
