Warnings

Remove Invia White Foam in any case, if the patient shows unexpected symptoms such as:
– Increase in pain.
– Excessive accumulation of wound exudate.
– Clear signs of blood loss.
– Faecal or other excrements extravasation.
– In sternum wounds possibly decreased or impaired cardiac function.
– Clear signs of an infection.
– Suspicion of sepsis.
– Unexpected or unexplained deterioration of the general condition.

Precautions

– Do not use Invia White Foam, if the packaging is damaged.
– Invia White Foam must not be re-sterilized.
– Do not dampen Invia White Foam with alcoholic solutions because this compromises
the composition and integrity of the foam.
– Do not cut Invia White Foam above the wound, so that no foam fragments fall in
the wound bed.
– If Invia White Foam is cut into pieces and placed in the wound, all pieces must be
carefully counted and recorded in the patient's chart.
– When using Invia White Foam, a regular examination of the wound and also the unaltered
condition of the patient is advisable.
– When using Invia White Foam in infected wounds, more frequent investigations of
the wound and/or dressing changes are necessary.
– Invia White Foam is only used after proper wound debridement.
– After curing and adherence, Invia White Foam must be rehydrated and soaked first before
it can be removed from the wound bed.
