NTRODUCTION
EasyScan FTX3 is a medical talking thermometer using the latest infrared technology.
Simple, precise and fast, EasyScan is always ready to use. With its 6 functions, a fast
and precise forehead and ear reading is possible. Its led controls, green, orange and
red, indicates in colour the temperature reading results for a better diagnostic. It
indicates also the time and the room temperature vocally.

N IMPORTANT CONCEPT
The normal value of the body temperature is on an interval and not fixed on an
invariable value. Everyone has his own scale of temperature.
The temperature could change according to age, gender, time, activity, and
emotions. People of different ages will have different temperatures; even
temperatures taken at different times in the same day could vary. For example,
children's temperatures will be 0.5° higher than adults; most people have lower
temperatures whilst sleeping, and increased temperature by day.
Different parts of body have different results. Normally, the rectum temperature is
0.3° higher than oral temperature, and oral temperature is 0.3° higher than the
temperature of the armpit.
In order to acquaint yourself with yours and your family's normal temperature, you
should measure the temperature at different times during 3 or 4 days whilst you are
healthy. After mastering the temperature range of your family, record them and
compare them with the temperature when feverish in the future.
