6.2 Preparation

Immediately after each treatment, the PARI PEP System must be
cleaned of medication residues and contaminants. To do this, take the
PARI PEP System completely apart (as described below).
Treatment without PARI nebuliser
Figure A:
• If necessary, disconnect the PEP tubing adapter (8) from the pressure
gauge connection tube (9), and then disconnect it from the PEP II lower
part (4).
• Pull the mouthpiece (1) and the PEP upper part (2) off the PEP lower
part (3 or 4).
• Remove the valve shim (2a) from the
PEP upper part.

Treatment in combination with PARI nebuliser

Figure C:
• If necessary, disconnect the PEP tubing adapter (8) from the pressure
gauge connection tube (9), and then disconnect it from the PEP II lower
part (4).
• Detach the PEP upper part (2) together with the PEP lower part (3 or 4)
from the nebuliser.
• Detach the PEP lower part from the PEP upper part.
• Remove the valve shim (2a) from the PEP upper part (see figure above).
