Display
• Press and hold the MENU button (2) for approx. 2 seconds.
• Turn the VOLUME dial (3), until DISPLAY is displayed.
• Briefly press the MENU button (2) again.
• The following menu items can be selected with the MENU button (2) and set with the VOLUME dial (3) as
previously described.
CONTRAST for setting the display contrast.
VIEW for setting the display view (positive/negative).
• To jump back one level in the menu, press the DOWN (11) button.

Radio Mode

RDS as a receiving concept
The abbreviation RDS stands for Radio Data System, i.e. inaudible, additional information codes are transmitted by
the FM RDS station.
Your CD 7516 is a CD tuner that is able to evaluate this coded data which is transmitted by most of the radio stations.
The following important data is transmitted:
- Programme Identification (PI)
- Traffic Programme (TP)
- Traffic Announcement (TA)
- Programme Service (PS)
- Alternative Frequencies (AF)
- Programme Type (PTY)
- EON Information (enhanced other networks)
- Clock time (CT)
