Information and preparation
1. Fill the tank with sufficient descaling agent and water but not over the maximum level mark MAX.
Make sure that the pump rotor housing is submerged during use.
2. Connect the hoses to the system to be descaled.
3. Plug the power lead into a 220 V socket.
4. The pump is fitted with the flow inverter POWERFLUX. The flow direction of the descaling liquid is dependent on the position
of the lever (never in the middle); thus, calcifications on both sides can be removed, particularly if there is tough calcification
on any side.
5. During use, always take off the tank cap in order to allow the passage and release of the acidic gas produced
during the descaling process.
Important: The temperature of the solution must not exceed 50 °C.
6. Check that the foam level in the tank does not exceed the maximum filling level.
7. The descaling process can be considered finished if there is no foam visible in the return pipe.
8. To ensure long life and proper operation of the pump, it is advisable to completely empty the tank and to flush it with clean water.
Our equipment is manufactured with high-quality, acid-resistant materials, submitted to severe operating tests to ensure quality, du-
rability and safety. Follow the above instructions carefully to avoid operating or servicing problems.
Instructions for a successful descaling
1. Connect the inlet and outlet hoses to the system to be treated to create a closed circuit.
2. Fill the tank with water up to the MIN (minimum) mark.
3. Start the pump by pressing the switch (position I or II). Initially, the water will rise in both pipes, but as soon as the working pres-
sure is reached, one of these will take over. It will be possible to assess the amount of blockage in the heating coil based on the
amount of water that circulates.
4. Add about ½ litre of descaling liquid to the water in the tank and check the circulation of the solution (water + descaling liquid). If
it is sufficient, a further 1 litre of descaling liquid can be added to accelerate the process. If not, wait until a breakthrough in the
scaling is created inside the coil, the presence of eccessively dense descaling fluid can cause big pieces of limestone to break away
and block the lines completely.
5. Wait until the ingoing and outcoming liquid are the same colour and free from air bubbles. At this stage the coil can be considered
to be unblocked. For perfect descaling, activate the flow inverter by pressing the switch in the opposite position of the one used for
the initial operation. Allow the pump to work for about 5 – 10 minutes.
6. At the end of the descaling process, loosen one of the two pipe connections of the system so that the liquid in the coil flows
into the pump tank.
Warning: During the descaling process, always keep the tank cap open.
In cases when the internal scaling of the coil is particularly hard, it might happen that the high quantity of foam formed will impede
the suction of the descaling liquid. In this case, you can be wrongly led to believe that the pump is not operating correctly.
In order to avoid this problem, we have created a special anti-foam product available in 1-litre bottles sufficient for 10 doses of 100
ml; the dose should be added to the tank when the pump shows signs of suction problems regarding the descaling liquid and in cases
when the foam reaches the level of the tank top.
