The manufacturer, the company A. Haberkorn & Co GmbH, A-4240 Freistadt, Werndlstraße 3, hereby declares that the new PPE, described
as follows,
- corresponds with the regulations of the PPE safety requirements (CE-guideline 89/686/CEE from 21.12.1989) and that the following EN/
ÖNORMS have been applied
- and that it is identical with the PPE, which has been subject of the type certificate issued by the authorized test institution

deal of care and under very rigorous quality criteria. So the requirements for safe use have been observed. Now it is up to you to use this energy
absorber in the CORRECT way!
Please keep these instructions for use with the product, so you will be able to refer to them in case of problems and fill in the TEST SHEET on
the last page carefully. Assign an INVENTORY number to your energy absorber for easy identification and enter it into the test sheet.
In case of necessary repairs or complaints it is absolutely essential to send us this test sheet together with the product.
The energy absorber helps towards the safety of people in areas at risk from falling from a height. It may be used only by people who have the
physical and mental capabilities as well as the necessary knowledge (INSTRUCTION according to item 8) for safe use.
In order to allow the fastest possible rescue of casualties after a fall from a height or any other accident, it is necessary to have an emergency
plan, which considers the rescue measures for all possible cases of emergency during work.
1)
Regulations for the holder of the equipment
The energy absorber should be at the disposal of one individual user. Immediately after each use, a visual inspection of the energy absorber
has to be carried out in order to guarantee that it is in working order. A product which no longer seems safe, must in case of doubt, NOT BE
USED anymore and should be replaced immediately.
Please note especially:
•
Damage on supporting parts, which are essential for safety, such as webbings and seams (tears, cuts or other)
•
Damage of plastic and/or metal fittings
•
Functioning of connectors
This inspection may only be omitted, if the product is part of emergency equipment and has been inspected and put into a closed container
by a competent person.
Observe the label on the energy absorber for the next regular inspection and highlight the next test date, best with a waterproof marker, on the
protective tube of the energy absorber.
It is absolutely essential to observe the maximum period of use for the product (according to item 3).

Periodic inspection
A visual inspection of the PPE must be carried out at least once a year (the frequency of such an inspection depends on the type and intensity
of use) by a COMPETENT PERSON. This visual inspection must include the

Period of use
The lifetime of this safety products is basically dependent on the type and frequency of application as well as conditions of use, care in maintenance
and storage, and can therefore not be universally defined. Products manufactured from man-made fibres (e.g. polyamide, polyester, aramid) are
subject to ageing even if not used, depending in particular on the strength of ultraviolet radiation and environmental influences.
