9.1 Positioning
The installer must check the fire-prevention requirements and position the machine in full compliance with
the accident-prevention law and current regulations.
As the appliance uses an air condenser, this feature must be taken into account during positioning and
keeping the inlet side of the cooling air unobstructed; in addition, it must be kept at least 20 cm from walls or
any other equipment on the air outlet side in order to obtain optimum performance. Avoid placing the
machine in closed or poorly ventilated places, exposed directly to sunlight and in any case keep it away
from any heat sources.
Panels with a height of 490 and 520mm with motor on board require a continuous exchange of air near the
motor compartment in order to operate.
It is advisable to always keep free space of at least 15 cm in the rear area or alternatively from the side of
the motor compartment (see images below).
9.2 Environment
Generally, the air condensing refrigeration units work with a maximum ambient temperature of 30°C. In
environments with higher temperatures, the declared performance is not guaranteed.
Notes
For correct installation:
-
Check the electrical connections
-
Check the absorption with the machine connected
-
Start the refrigerator and allow it to reach the desired temperature before introducing foodstuffs.
If the appliance has been transported unsuitably (e.g. not vertically, or laid on its back), wait at least 4 hours before
switching on.
With reference to the specific requests of the customer, inform the same about the exact use of the machine.
The refrigerator must not be used to cool freshly cooked foodstuffs or hot foodstuffs.
The products inside the cell must be arranged near the grids without exceeding their perimeter in such a way as to
ensure an optimal air passage.
In refrigerators with low temperatures (freezers with negative temperatures) only introduce already frozen products.
If non-frozen elements are to be introduced, make sure that they do not exceed 10% of the cell content.
Minimise opening of the doors of the appliance during the defrosting phase.
9.3 Cleaning and maintenance
In order to perform adequate maintenance of the appliance, the user, maintenance technician or unskilled
personnel must first take into account the basic safety standards referred to in the GENERAL WARNINGS
paragraph.
Ordinary cleaning may only be carried out by unskilled personnel strictly following the instructions below.
It is also mandatory not to remove the safety devices and guards during routine maintenance.
OTHERWISE, THE MANUFACTURER DECLINES ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGE OR
ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE AFORE-MENTIONED OBLIGATION.
Before starting any operation, disconnect the power supply to the appliance.
Wash the inside of the cell with water and neutral detergents, without jets of water and abrasive materials,
then dry thoroughly and position the guides and grids as required (perform the above operation at least
once every six months).
Clean the seals only with a soft cloth and water. Do not use aggressive or corrosive products.
Adjust the thermostat to the desired operating temperature following the relevant instructions
(from +8°C to -2°C for the TN model and from -18°C to -22°C for the BT model).
Bearing in mind the above rules, the cell must be cleaned daily in order to guarantee the best quality and
perfect hygiene of the products being processed.
N.B. NO SHARP OR ABRASIVE BODIES, NO SOLVENTS OR THINNERS
